About FAFSA Easy Guide
FAFSA Easy Guide is part of Easy Guides, an independent publisher founded in 2025 that turns confusing official processes, like financial aid forms and government paperwork, into plain-English steps anyone can follow.
Who is behind this site
FAFSA Easy Guide is produced and maintained by the Easy Guides editorial team. We are not a financial aid office, a financial advisor, or the U.S. Department of Education, and we say so on every page. We are a small independent team whose only job is turning official, jargon-heavy instructions into steps a normal family can act on.
How we work
Every guide starts from primary sources, the official rules that govern federal student aid, not other blogs. For the FAFSA that means StudentAid.gov and the Federal Student Aid Knowledge Center. We fact-check key figures, like Pell Grant amounts and loan caps, against the current official source for the award year. Our full standards are in our Editorial and Fact-Check Policy.
Why we built it
The FAFSA decides who gets grants, loans, and work-study, yet the rules change often and the form intimidates families. We explain what to do, in order, and we point out the money-saving moves most families miss.
